I am a street, documentary photographer and photojournalist based in Crete.
I began using photography in 2011 as a tool to complement my journalistic work, merging photojournalism with street photography to document news events and everyday life in Crete. I primarily shoot in black and white to emphasize subjects and create cleaner, more focused compositions.
I see photography as a means to "scratch the surface" of dominant narratives, advocating for the visibility of marginalized stories. My work highlights the paradox of modern travel—where mobility signifies status—while local identities erode in tourism-driven economies.
I enjoy discussing the societal role of photography in our ultra-modern era, where social media play a crucial role and artificial intelligence challenges the very nature of photography, a subject I touch in some of my articles.
My work has been exhibited in New York, Barcelona, Athens and has been selected amongst others by Magnum photographer Harry Gruyaert for Trieste Photos Days 2025 and by Magnum photographer Nikos Economopoulos for Street Photographer Foundation’s Black and White awards 2025.
From 2018 to 2024, I served as a Fuji X Ambassador.
